Media is always causing problems

Media plays a large part in how social problems are portrayed to the public. When journalist report on a topic a lot of them look at the topic by looking at the offender not at the victim and show their opinions in their writing. One of the biggest problems with media is that they use the quotes that they get to make the point they want to make or to focus the viewpoint in a certain direction. In most media the perspective taken is either an opinionated one or one in the way of law, but most of the time the social perspective is forgotten about; like don't we all want to know the social point of view. In all seriousness, the social point of view is one that could make a difference and change some informal rules why don't we use that. Social sciences are hardly ever used in popular media and when they are they are used to reword what they sociologist said to make the point the media wants too. Give the society the social view too.
